Betsy Stewart's paintings dive deep into a world the naked eye cannot readily see. Luminous colors and dynamic fluidity converge, expressing nature's captivating beauty and biodiversity. Her paintings examine the interdependent, microscopic life forms found under the water's surface and, by extension, our own fragile position in nature. Her works can be found in museums and private collections around the world, and she is a member of "Take Me to the River," a non-profit organization of 16 international artists whose art projects and outreach programs raise consciousness on every continent about water issues while bringing cultures together. She lives and works in Washington, DC.
