Julian Voss-Andreae is a quantum physicist-turned-sculptor whose works are a unique blend of art, science and technology. His sculptures are inspired by the structure of molecules, mathematical equations and geometry, as well as the influences of artists and thinkers like Leonardo da Vinci, with a touch of Eastern religion and philosophy thrown in. He is famous for his "disappearing" sculptures -- steel structures that seem to vanish before one's eyes, depending on the position of the viewer. His commissioned creations can be found on the grounds of major universities and public spaces throughout the world. Julian lives and creates these unique pieces in Portland, Oregon.
